Quinn Kelsey Tickets

Quinn Kelsey began in opera in 1991 as a chorus member with the Hawaii Opera Theatre. For the Hawaii native, the last 26 years have taken him many places and have put him on many different stages in the U.S. and abroad. 

Kelsey’s list of programs and study include the Chautauqua Institute with Marlena Malas, San Francisco’s Merola Opera Program under Sherry Greenwald and Mark Morash, and three years at Chicago’s Lyric Opera Center for American Artists, now known as the Ryan Opera Center. And for two seasons, Kelsey was accepted to the roster of the Marilyn Horne Foundation. 

Last Fall, Kelsey was at the Metropolitan Opera in AIDA with soprano Anna Netrebko and tenor Aleksandrs Antonenko. Maestro Nicola Luisotti conducted the Met Opera Orchestra. In December, the baritone then premiered a new Met production of LA TRAVIATA with soprano Diana Damrau, tenor Juan Diego Flórez, and the Met's new music director, Yannick Nézet-Séguin. 

In the new year, Kelsey returns to the Opernhaus Zürich for the lead in RIGOLETTO, Rosa Feola as Gilda, Ismaele Jordi as the Duca di Mantua, Marina Viotti as Maddalena, and Pavel Daniluk as Sparafucile. Gustavo Gimeno conducts. 

The baritone will return to the Met for more AIDA in late February/early March with soprano Sondra Radvanovsky, mezzo-soprano Olesya Petrova, and tenor Jorge de Léon. Plácido Domingo conducts. The baritone then makes his company and role debut with the Dallas Opera as Ford in FALSTAFF in April with Riccardo Frizza conducting. Cast includes baritone Mark Delavan as Sir John Falstaff, mezzo-soprano Stephanie Blythe as Quickly, mezzo-soprano Megan Marino as Meg Page, soprano Mocja Erdmann as Nannetta, and tenor Airam Hernandez as Fenton. 

In May, Kelsey heads home to the Hawai'i Opera Theatre for more LA TRAVIATA as Giorgio Germont. Cast includes soprano Natalya Pavlova, tenor Pene Pati, and Emily Senturia conducting. 

In June, Kelsey will be in Munich at the Bayerische Staatsoper for a company debut in LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR with soprano Diana Damrau, tenor Javier Camarena, and bass-baritone Alexander Tsymbalyuk, with Antonino Fogliani conducting.
