Francesca Dotto is 27 years old and was born in Treviso. She obtains a classical education and graduates in flute at the Conservatory in Bologna in 2006. She also attends the Conservatory in Castelfranco Veneto where she specializes in singing under Elisabetta Tandura and graduates with honors and honorable mention in 2011. In the same year she wins the first prize at the “National Prize of the Arts” organized by the Ministry of Education (MIUR).
She debuts at Teatro La Fenice in Venice in 2012 singing as Musetta in Puccini’s La Bohème.
Following engagements include Lucrezia Borgia (Lucrezia) at Teatro Verdi in Padua, La Traviata (Violetta) in Sassari and in Bari at Teatro Petruzzelli and La Bohème (Musetta) at Teatro La Fenice.
The season 2014/2015 also includes Don Giovanni (Donna Anna) at the Greek National Opera in Athens, La Traviata in Venice at Teatro La Fenice and in Verona at Teatro Filarmonico, La Bohème (Musetta) at Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari and Don Giovanni (Donna Anna) at Teatro La Fenice in Venice.
Others engagements include Così fan tutte (Fiordiligi) at Festival dei due mondi in Spoleto (cond. James Conlon), La Bohème (Musetta) in Bari Teatro Petruzzelli, La Traviata at Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, The Merry Widow in Bari.
