Paracas
Paracas is a small town on the central coast of Peru found on the shores of a small bay. Paracas is famous for its lovely climate, the red beach, yacht club and especially for the renowned Peruvian cuisine of fresh fish and seafood.
The city's port is the starting point for excursions and trips to the nearby Ballestas Islands and the Chincha Islands, while inland travellers will find the beautiful Paracas National Reserve.Not far from town, on a hill just a few steps from the sea, stands an imposing geoglyph called the "Candelabrum of Paracas", ancient lines drawn in rock creating the shape of a candelabrum.
