New Italian tour for Parsons Dance, the American company loved by the public for its athletic and vital dance that transmits joie de vivre and embodies the most genuine sense of a dance that points straight to the emotion and hidden desire of every spectator to dance, jump and rejoice with the dancers.

It's hard not to get carried away by the vibrant rhythms and the enveloping and colorful choreography of the  Parsons Dance dancers.

Program :

The dancers were chosen for their virtuosity, energy, and sex appeal attack the audience like a cyclone, a true force of nature. Original choreography with music ranging from Rossini and Mozart to jazz by Phil Woods and Miles Davis; from the legendary Brazilian musician Milton Nascimento to Robert Fripp, guitarist and founder of the historic English rock group King Crimson; from the popular music of the Dave Matthews Band to the world-famous hits of Earth, Wind & Fire.

In the program of the Italian tour, there will be the always highly requested "Caught" (1982 song that David Parsons created for himself), an incredible solo on music by Robert Fripp in which the dancer seems suspended in the air thanks to a play of stroboscopic lights. “Caught” is a hit of modern dance defined by critics: “one of the greatest choreographies of recent times”. Two other classics from the Parsons Dance repertoire are featured in the program such as  "Wolfgang"  (2008)  and "Whirlaway"  (2014). We will see for the first time in Italy  "Ma Maison", a 2008 song with music from Preservation Hall Jazz with particular costumes by Jeanne Button inspired by the traditional funeral processions of New Orleans. In addition, Parsons Dance will have the honor of presenting in Italy, as a European preview,  "Microburst", the new song that debuted last May 2018 at the Joyce Theater in New York. “Microburst”  is a bold and brilliant performance for four dancers to Indian classical music composed and played live by Avirodh Sharma. In the program is also another original piece that will be released later.
