Overview

Two years after the success of "Singing to strangers", which debuted in first place in the UK charts, and after the solidarity song "Andrà tutto bene", his first single in Italian written together with the fans, Jack Savoretti returns LIVE to present the unreleased album "Europiana".

Anticipated by the single “Who's Hurting Who” feat. Nile Rodgers, “Europiana” is an album that wants to make people dance, smile, and remember, thanks to vintage but at the same time modern sound. The title is in fact used by the artist precisely to enclose and narrate the elegance and European romantic style, in particular, that of Italy and France in the 60s / 70s. The golden beaches, the clear sky, the music of the piano bar, and a glass of wine at sunset are the suggestions that the new album by Jack Savoretti, one of a kind, brings with it. Nostalgic but current, it does not limit itself to recounting the artist's experiences but is enriched with other characters and broader concepts, of which the artist becomes the spokesperson.

“Europiana” came to life in the artist's house, where he and his band got together to write the album, transforming the living room into a recording studio and enclosing a genuine feeling of sharing and complicity. Central to the lyrics is the element of family and its value, rediscovered once more by Jack Savoretti in the break after the two most intense years of his career. A concept that the listener can find in the decision to have the choruses of three songs recorded by his wife and children, who have so actively taken part in the album, arranged by the violinist and great friend Phil Granell. The production was entrusted to the famous producer Cam Blackwood, who had previously worked on the making of “Singing to Strangers”.

“Europiana” thus becomes the manifesto of a new musical path, to which the artist wanted to give a name and a precise form in the 11 tracks recorded in the famous Abbey Road studios, just 90 years after the creation of the legendary studios.
