Karen Souza presents her Velvet Glow Sessions China Tour – a velvet-voiced evening of jazz and bossa nova from the Argentine singer billed in China as the queen of Latin American jazz.
Souza began her career singing for electronic-music producers and, under pseudonyms, recorded jazz versions of hits of the 1970s, 80s and 90s – her take on Radiohead’s Creep was used in the film The Zero Theorem. Since her 2011 album Essentials she has released Hotel Souza, Velvet Vault, Language of Love and Suddenly Lovers, and her Velvet Glow Sessions tour brings that intimate, after-dark sound to the stage.
